6.4.   WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU ENTER AN INCORRECT NUMBER

If you have ENTERed after the number, you can not back up.  This is because you are in the middle of a command sequence "string" and there is no way to back up.  The computer thinks of "create a pattern drawing" as one command that is not complete until you have SELECTed the placement of the pattern on the screen and the computer has drawn it. All you can to is TYPE the ESCape key to cancel the command.
After the command has been canceled, start the command again by SELECTING the pattern again.
ESCape will cancel any command at any point in process of the command.

6.   PLACING THE PATTERN PIECE ON THE SCREEN

After you have ENTERed the last measurement the computer will ask you for the placement of the pattern on the screen.  For example: Lower left corner:
Use the cursor device to move the CROSS-HAIRS to the position on the screen where you want to place the lower left hand corner of the pattern and CLICK the SELECT button.  You will see the pattern drawing begin to appear on the screen.  It will do this in 3 stages.  First it will draw the drafting lines in Blue, then the pattern itself in Black, and then the dimension lines with dimension numbers in Yellow.

6.1. When the computer PLOTs (or prints) the drawing, it leaves a margin around the edge of the paper.  If you are PLOTting on an E size plotter and you are using the Sew1 or Sew1a Template, make sure all the pattern pieces are inside the light blue margin lines.  If you are using a different size paper, make sure you place the pattern at least 1-1/2" from the edges of the page.  (If you are using another size plotter check with your manual to find out what size margin you need to leave.)

6.2.  The SLEEVE patterns placement point is at the point were the bottom of the armhole position intersects the centerline of the sleeve.

7.  WHAT IF THE PATTERN LOOKS WEIRD?

If the pattern shape looks very strange to you, it is  probable that you have ENTERed an inaccurate measurement.  You may have measured inaccurately or you may have TYPEd incorrectly.   You have the following options.

7.1.  ZOOM in on dimension numbers for areas that appear to be inaccurate to see if the measurements are. (see directions for ZOOM in the BASIC OPERATION INFORMATION SECTION.)   Keep in mind the relationship of the diagonals to the circumferences on the 1SEXBOD.

7.2.  SELECT UNDO from the menu.  The computer will back up to the step before you choose the "draw pattern" command.  The drawing will disappear.  SELECT the pattern again from the menu to begin over.
