12.1.1.  Picture, in your mind, the shape of the curve line you think should be there.  SELECT a point on the bust seam line where the curve should start above the bust line using the SNAPTO sub-command NEAR(EST).  The computer will say:
               end point:

12.1.1.1.  The placement of the arc "start" and "end" points is determined by the sharpness of the angle at the bust point.  For instance, placement for an angle on an A cup size bust would be closer together than that for a C cup.

12.1.2.  Select a point on the bust seam line where the curve should end below the bust line using the SNAPTO sub-command NEAR(EST).  The computer will say:
              corner point:

12.1.3.   Select the point on the bust seam line that is the point at the bust line.  Mechanical accuracy for this point is not crucial.

12.2. You will see a curve line form that should appear to fit the corner and blend into the seam lines smoothly.

12.3. If you are not satisfied with the shape of the curve line, type UNDO and ENTER to UNDO the line.  ReSELECT XARC and repeat the command.   Adjust the placement of the start and end points on the seam lines as seems logical to make the curve deeper or shallower.

12.4.  Use TRIM to remove the unwanted straight lines.  SELECT the new curved line as the CUTTING LINE and the straight line(s) as the lines to be TRIMmed.

13.  EXPLODE(ING) A PATTERN PIECE SO UNNEEDED LINES CAN BE ERASED AND SEAM LINES CAN BE CONNECTED.

Pattern pieces which are to be made up from "spread" and/or "pivoted" sections of the block pattern need to be joined back together into continuous seam lines.  When the computer performs the CUT command it makes each pattern section into a CLOSEd outline.  Some of your pieces may be turned into individual lines during the "slash and spread process" and some may not.  The command EXPLODE (under the EDIT MENU) will cause any CLOSEd shape to separate into individual lines at each "VERTEX".

13.1.  SELECT EXPLODE under the EDIT MENU.  The computer will say:
Select block reference, polyline, dimension, or mesh:

13.2.  SELECT any point on the pattern piece seam line (it is a polyline).  You will probably see barely a flicker in the image on the screen.  You only clue will be that the command prompt will be asking for the next command.  To immediately repeat the command for
