Creating
Seam Allowences is almost an instant process:
Use the OFFSET command under the EDIT menu to draw the seam allowances.
- SELECT
the command OFFSET
- SELECT
the line you want to offset with the cursor
- Click
ENTER to stop SELECTing
- TYPE
in the size of the width of the seam allowence and ENTER
- Show
the computer which side of the seam line to offset by clicking the
cursor on the outside of the pattern piece
- Click
ENTER to stop offsetting.
If you want uneven seam allowance:
- Draw
extension lines, using the SNAPTO sub-functions INTersection,
NEARest, and PERPendicular, from the narrower width
to the wider width.
- Use those
lines as TRIM lines and use TRIM under the EDIT menu
to TRIM away the unwanted seam allowance.
